Apprenticeships 'offer great learning experiences'
Apprenticeships can offer valuable learning experiences and help people get ahead in their field of choice, it has been suggested.
Alex Clarke, a motor vehicle apprentice at the Church Road college - who has been working at Hatfield's Garage in Bracknell - said he has enjoyed his time on the initiative, Get Bracknell reports.
The youngster noted: "Working at Hatfield's has been a great learning experience for me and my dream is to one day own my own garage."
He spent time working alongside councillor Alan Kendall after the local government official donned his overalls at the firm to take part in National Apprenticeship Week, which started on Monday (February 7th).
Mr Kendall described his time at the garage as a "fascinating experience".
The Federation of Small Businesses recently claimed the government should do everything in its power to help small businesses create the opportunity for young people to take part in apprenticeships.
