A trip to the Lake District will give those on cultural tours of the UK a chance for escape and inspiration.
That is according to Ellis Butcher, a spokesman for Cumbria Tourism, who stated that as it is such a large place, there are plenty of areas which are remote and allow visitors the opportunity for peaceful contemplation.
He said that even the towns and villages are not over populated and that people can stay in one and not feel overwhelmed like they might do were they to take a trip to a big city instead.
"The Lake District offers people a chance for escape and inspiration. Because it's in the heart of the second-largest county in England it's a massive area geographically so there are many places that are spectacularly remote and off-the-beaten track," Mr Butcher noted.
Animal lovers can look forward to seeing a variety of wildlife on their trip, including red squirrels, water voles and natterjack toads.
