Smartphones 'could help people find work in London'

Published: 19/09/2011

Smartphones can help people find work

Those looking to find work in London can use smartphones to improve their chances.

According to a spokesperson from Jobsite.co.uk, while securing a new position can be a frustrating and time-consuming challenge, it is important that people remain positive.

The representative suggested that jobseekers can take advantage of a number of online options to find work in London, with smartphones giving them the ability to look for postings when they like.

"Smartphones enable people to look for jobs wherever and whenever they like and apply for jobs as soon as they get posted online, giving candidates an edge in a competitive jobs market," the spokesperson added.

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills recently announced a series of measures that are to be implemented to help those looking for work.

Among the assistance being offered to the unemployed will be better careers advice and reforming the way colleges and training providers interact with people.
