Families enjoying cultural tours of the UK have a wealth of options when it comes to places to visit, it has been claimed.
Yolanda Copes-Stepney, PR manager for VisitEngland, stated that as well as better-known destinations, there are lots of "hidden gems" that holidaymakers can explore.
In addition, those on cultural tours of the UK can enjoy a wonderful time on a budget, with plenty of activities available free of charge.
"Some of the top places for families where there is lots of stuff going on I'd say are Weymouth in Dorset, Leicestershire, Norwich and the Norfolk Broads and the New Forest," Ms Copes-Stepney added.
Shona Anderson, Aberdeen City and Shire regional director at VisitScotland, said recently that Aberdeen has lots to see and do for travellers on cultural tours of the UK.
The city offers a "fascinating heritage" as well as a host of world-class golf courses and several castles for people to enjoy.
