There may be more work opportunities for people coming to study in the UK to work in the IT industry after computer giant HP said it would be creating 105 technical jobs.
Based at Ballybrit, Galway in Ireland, 105 vacancies will become available in enterprise data architecture, software development and application development and will act as support for the company's enterprise business division.
"HP has chosen Galway for these highly strategic and knowledge-based roles in a move that reinforces our global reputation for high-end research and development activity," said Irish minister for enterprise Batt O'Keefe.
He added this latest announcement shows the country can compete for the creation of highly skilled jobs in the IT industry as it attempts to become the innovation hub of Europe.
Earlier this week, an article in the Irish Echo noted employers are now looking for candidates who have gained work experience in their chosen industry.
