New Twin Career Development Programme

Twin’s new Career Development Programme allows adult students, with an Intermediate (B1) Level of English, to study for the EDEXCEL BTEC Level 3 Workskills Certificate; an internationally recognised, accredited UK qualification, gained through practical work experience in the UK and guided classroom study. At the end of the Programme, students also receive a Twin Certificate of Attendance and Achievement and, (optionally), a Cambridge IELTS certificate, but most importantly will have gained invaluable, transferrable skills and business experience within international environments.

CDP - Work PlacementThe course is made up of two-thirds classroom study at Twin and one-third work placement. Our team of professional advisors work closely with students to find placements most suited to their career aspirations. Possible internships include placements in marketing, finance, IT, law and many more. We also offer vocational placements in hospitality, for example working as a kitchen porter or housekeeper. Students complete course work during their placement and their attendance is monitored. At the end of the placement the internship is assessed through focused tasks.

CPD - StudyStudy

Learning materials are easily accessible to students during the Programme through our own virtual learning environment, Twin e-Learning, which is also where all work is submitted and a portfolio compiled. Here, students can also practise their English, from when they book until three months after their course has finished. Students study a combination of modules for 15 hours per week, such as Planning for Professional Development, Critical Thinking Development and Negotiation Skills and Persuasion in the Workplace. A number of these modules are made up of both theoretical and practical components, which is why an internship is an essential part of the Programme. Lessons at Twin are dynamic and delivered by teaching professionals dedicated to ensuring that students are kept engaged and not only learn but enjoy themselves while studying with us.
